We are very proud of our unique SCC Tour scoring system. Over the years we have developed and adjusted the way we award points to the players in a tournament. We think the SCC Tour scoring system is the best way for our Swing Order of Merit. Points are awarded depending on how many players are entered into a tournament. The more players there are, the more points on offer.
Although we only play the one round in each tournament, we have a Missed Cut (MC) status for each tournament. This basically means that players in the bottom third of the results fail to get a point. The reason for this, is even if you are having a bad round, your focus then goes towards making the cut and getting at least 2 points in the Swing Order of Merit. Missing the cut also has a negative affect on your MCP scoring.
The top 2/3rds of the players make the cut and are awarded points based on their finishing position. The Winner will receive maximum points available for the number of eligible players in the field. 2nd place (and ties) will receive 4 points less than the winner. 3rd place (and ties) will receive 2 points less than 2nd place. 4th place (and ties) will receive 2 points less than 3rd place. The points will then decrease by 1 until we reach the last player to make the cut.
The table below details how many points are on offer. The headings detail the number of eligible entrants in a tournament.
So, for instance. If there were 22 players in the field, 1st would get 21pts, 2nd - 17pts and so on down the field.
The player with the most points at the end of each Swing will be the Swing Winner and gain a place in The Swing Finale at the end of the season.
